Setze equips i més de 200 jugadors de categoria aleví van participar en la XIII edició del Memorial Manuel Luque - Álex Gallardo, on l'RCD Espanyol es va imposar al FC Barcelona a la gran final (3-1) per acabar sumant el seu sisè títol. En el partit de consolació, el Betis va guanyar el tercer lloc als penals després d’un 2-2 contra l’At. Madrid en el temps reglamentari.

El Club Esportiu Mercantil es va convertir en el millor representant sabadellenc, arribant als quarts de final on va perdre contra el FC Barcelona (0-2). El Can Rull A va sumar un punt en el seu grup mentre Can Rull B i CE Sabadell es van quedar a zero. Per a tots, l’experiència va ser extraordinària.
